if you want to avoid last name usage, you should ask people who link to your blog to not use your last name in the list on their blog. just a thought.
I love comments too and I'm probably way to open with our personal info. Just fyi though, I think a couple people have links to your site that are listed by your last name. You may want to have them change it if you're concerned.
