This is not a fabrication...

So, one of the things I'm most worried about with Emmeline starting Kindergarten is that she will lose track of everyone and everything and wander away. Well, we visited her elementary school yesterday, and judging by the gates, locks, barbed wire, and bars on the windows, my fears are unfounded. It's like a tiny green prison compound for children. And you have to pay for parking.

Here is one of her registration forms:

Residency

Check all that apply. You live in...

a. a shelter
b. a motel/hotel
c. a car, trailer, campsite
d. with another family
e. in a foster home awaiting placement
f. a place otherwise unfit for human habitation

Wow!

Hopefully we'll leave here before school starts!
