The morning started out well. I slept all night long, woke up, spent some time with my new garage friend, and even showered. Then the kids woke up. Benjamin is dressed, but only because he slept in his clothes. There are marshmallows all over the kitchen floor (I didn't even know we had marshmallows), there is dry erase marker on the new bookshelf (which is lying in pieces in the living room), and Joshua is upset because he thinks it's his birthday and I have yet to give him a cake or presents. There is a giant mark on the bunk beds that I JUST FINSIHED PAINTING, and I had to perform surgery on the air hockey table this morning. Emmeline was busy showing me how she can count to 100 by 2s...68, 70, 74, oops, now I have to start over. Samantha, my saving grace, is sleeping. However, she already had two outfit changes this morning. "Mom, I very need chocolate milk 'cause I never had ANY!" It's shaping up to be one of those days where I work all day, then take a look at my "to-do" list and realize I've nothing to check off.
Yesterday, I taught the Primary kids a little song to remember the apostles' names. Now, it's stuck in my head...Packer, Perry, Nelson, Oaks,...or as Joshua says, "Packer very needs a nose..." Lost in translation.
Sam's awake. Diego is over. My minute is up.

The Easy Button...and other ramblings...
So, in preparation for the summer, Luke's company sent him boxes and boxes full of office supplies. First of all, Luke already has an office and more supplies than he needs. Second of all, my garage was just starting to look normal. Third of all, they sent an Easy Button. That would be a great toy, thinks Luke. If I hear, "That was easy!" one more time I'm taking a hammer to it.
Why, oh why, oh why can't people edit?! I can forgive the occasional honest mistake or spelling error in an email or blog, but in publications, school newsletters, advertisements, etc?! Come on people, are you kidding?! The other day, Emmeline brought home an advertisement for some art classes. I got all excited because they were cheap and right up her alley. Then I started reading...or rather, trying to read. Then I got angry. I wanted to call the organization and let them know that if they don't know the difference between their, there, and they're, then they've got bigger problems than the fact that they just lost a potential customer. The worst thing is that this was not an isolated incident. Ack! (EmJ's teacher, though, has never had a spelling mistake or glaring error...except that whole "Leap Day" on January 29th incident...better luck next year...or in 2012, anyway!)
Since we're talking about editing. Here's a friendly reminder to friends and family. My name is KIRSTIN. That's K-I-R-S-T-I-N. Two Is. One at the beginning, one at the end. My parents spelled it that way on purpose, and I rather like it.
And with that, I'm off to do chores! Saturday is a special day! Mrp!

Out of the Cave!
Lindsey and Coleson are in town! Isn't he the cutest?! I love being able to spend time with my sister, and Benjamin enjoys having a little friend to speak "Benjaminese" with...they totally understand each other!
This is the first smile I was able to catch on camera...at a baseball game...that's my girl!
Benjamin is becoming a little bit OCD about which clothes he wears and when. To distract him one day (his yellow shirt was in the wash, heaven forbid), I pulled out Willie's old monster jam shirt. "Wow, big monster jams! Green ones!" It made his day.
Samantha's blessing day, April 13th, 2008. Thanks to all those who attended. Thank you even more for not spilling spaghetti all over my carpet!
Awww! Another smile! I think I have better pictures than these, but I was choosing from thumbnails...and I'm lazy, so enjoy what you get!
My birthday cake! Thanks, Luke! I'm not sure what's up with the number one...since I turned 26...
Joshua getting so big and doing chores! He loves to be outside working with dad.
And, finally, Benjamin's owie. He ran into the wall. Or, in EmJ's words, "Daddy threw him into the wall!"
Wow, I'm back. Did you miss me?! Well, I missed all of you...I love stalking each of your blogs and hearing about what's going on in your lives, but our internet/computer has been down for almost a month and I really did miss it! I even fished a phone book out of the recycle bin to call a plumber the other day, all the while complaining about the inconvenience of not having the internet!
So here are a few pics/words about what's been going on in our lives since Easter. I'm sorry that this post is very backwards...if you read from the bottom up, you'll get it all a little more chronologically!
