Lotsa Good Stuff...

Hmmm, it's been a big weekend and a long week before that. I have lots to update on, but naturally, as I sit down to write I'm not sure I can remember anything exactly fun or important. So, enjoy the ramble...or skip this post and stay tuned for one with pictures...

Monday--Enjoyed some sister-in-law fun...complete with a new amazing hair cut!

Last Tuesday...I got to visit with two college roommates! What a fabulous mini-reunion! Good food and good company (and no kids) have got to be the best things in the world! Also, on Tuesday, EmJ went to her cheer class and her loser mom provided pom-poms. Whew! Crisis averted.

Last Thursday...I took Sam in for her two month check-up. Stats: 12 lbs. 4 oz., 24 inches, head--ginormous. I haven't pulled out the baby books to compare yet, but I know her noggin is significantly bigger than the others'! Also on Thursday, I got to have a bit of a girls' night...three in a week...that fills my quota for a year. Must crawl back under rock.

Friday and Saturday...We had two awesome wedding receptions. Benjamin, the warthog, strategically placed by the dessert table, single-handedly dissuaded anyone from trying the cake. He was quite potent. We left early. Later--much later--Saturday night, I watched a replay of the Cavs game while making my own Mother's Day cards.

Sunday...I helped the Primary kids finish the afforementioned cards and coupons for their moms. My kids were so proud to give me their cards. I looked at the scissor blisters on my hands and said a very sarcastic, yet heartfelt thank you. (I shouldn't complain, though...it was blatant procrastination on my part!) After church we headed to the in-laws to partake in yummy dinner and certain other Mother's Day traditions.

Monday, May 12th--Happy 7th Anniversary to us!!!!

Kirsten!!! I am so excited to see your cute family. I haven't seen you for so long. I can't believe you, carly and angie are old enough to have kids either. It seems just like yesterday we had young women sleep overs and rocked out to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Good times.

Love- Nicole (Mackay) Hansen
