The Toothless Wonder

So Emmeline has lost another tooth. Front and center. And thus begins the awkward, toothless to too toothy phase of childhood.
The toothless to too toothy phase of childhood also includes horrendous hair and fashion choices, massive over-accessorizing, forgetting to bathe, and (in Emmeline's case) bringing stale mustard only sandwiches with a side of pickles to school for lunch.
It's bad.
There is one really adorable girl in our neighborhood, though, who seems to be gracefully passing over the toothless to too toothy phase...I wanted to compliment her on her apparent ability to bathe and to grow a smile that isn't scary...but she probably would have run screaming into her house, "Call the police! They let the crazy lady off her chain!"

Well, I do not think she is at all awkward. She is beautiful (as I'm certain you are aware, but I had to comment on your sarcasm).

Maybe you should start making her lunches, however . . .
