Opening Day!!

We have had a couple of days of almost-sort-of-maybe-spring weather. Couple that with a visit from Rachel and the boys, and a trip to the park was in order! Sam and Reillee loved the swings. Jacob and Joshua played badminton.

Luke spun everyone on the merry-go-round.

Jacob and EmJ climbed and slid and everyone had a great time! We are so glad they came to visit!

And, to make it even better...it was opening day for the Mariners!! Final score 12-3 Cleveland. Lovely. But it was wonderful anyway...the sights, the smells, the Dave Niehaus tribute, and watching Willie and Gus get into the action. (Not really, they just fought and complained and asked how long we were going to be there...unless Ichiro was up, at which point they oohed and aahed for a moment before going back to complaining.) I thought I'd be a good baseball fan and teach the boys how to keep score. Fail. The boys just ignored me until something exciting happened and then fought over whose turn it was to write on the scorecard. Couple that with Gus's complete lack of writing ability and the score comes out something like "12 scribble angry pen slash scribble scribble happy face 3."

I am soooo happy that it is baseball season!!
